O.K., now that I have your attention, please sit quietly through a short self-promotional message:

Over the past week, things have been pretty slow here at STWOF, but I've been hard at work posting material on three other web sites. You might want to check some of them out.

First, I want to announce the creation of a new blog called Groover's Paradise. Please give it a spin and save it to your feed reader if it looks like something you will like. The purpose of Groover's Paradise is to "celebrate the great music of the 20th century in three sentences or less." So far this has included artists like Doug Sahm, Buck Owens, and The Flatlanders (with a few songs posted by yours truly). I'm sure there will be more great music coming.

Second, I've really been ejoying this week's theme over at Star Maker Machine, which is "Record Labels." I've already done short posts on both Slash Records and Sun Records (which includes a great drinking song by Charlie Rich), with more to come this week.

Finally, much of my free time lately has been sucked into the vortex that is tumblr. My tumblr site is called Don't Forget The Coffee. Go there if you want to see a bunch of random pictures (including a killer shot of the killer) or to listen to some good songs, many of which I've "re-blogged" from other tumblrs. Note: by clicking on the player bar at the bottom of my tumblr site, you can use it to check out some tunes while you work at your computer.
